Based on the calculated rate of grinding media wear per ton throughput, grinding balls are filled into the mill in definable time intervals. Thus, a constant operation of the mill is ensured.

For grinding circuits which imply the need to turn the mill upside down in regular intervals a grinding media sorting machine is absolutely necessary. Used grinding media can be sorted into various sizes and re-used for a new charge.
